Composition
So, what exactly is ĒCLOS made out of? ĒCLOS isn’t quartz, but a new generation of surfaces produced with select minerals and 88% recycled materials. In short, we call it an in-layered mineral surface. Slabs of ĒCLOS’s first collection contain zero crystalline silica, making it a safer product to fabricate and a better surface for the environment.
Its composition gives ĒCLOS many advantages, one of which is its extreme impact resistance. Dropped utensils, heavy cookware, and day-to-day activities are no match for ĒCLOS’s durability, making it the ideal surface for high-traffic areas. ĒCLOS can also withstand high temperatures, including direct contact with hot cookware, without concerns for marks or damage. From home renovations to commercial projects, ĒCLOS is a high-performance surface that’s ready to take on anything.
Design
What makes ĒCLOS so special isn’t just its composition, but how the designs are made. Typical quartz slabs are designed using multicolored minerals to achieve a desired pattern. ĒCLOS designs are not made via colored materials, but by print. Yes, these designs are, in fact, printed! Cosentino’s technological advances have created a new way to print designs without sacrificing depth or full-body color. Their newest technology, INLAYR™️, achieves realistic, full-body designs by printing in layers, which produces slabs that look and feel like natural stone.
Colors
The debut collection from ĒCLOS, Eclectic Veins, includes six designs with a variety of colors reflective of nature and natural stone designs. Eclectic Veins is a well-rounded collection with a mixture of dark and light colors and polished and textured finishes, providing an option for every space.
