A Closer Look at Quartz Installations in KU Allen Fieldhouse Renovation
Allen Fieldhouse at the University of Kansas is one of the most iconic venues in college basketball, so when updates were made behind the scenes, every detail mattered. CKF worked with Turner Construction to install enduring, low-maintenance quartz countertops throughout the building. Let’s show you around!
The Naismith Room doesn’t hold back; it’s bold, bright, and made to impress. Continuing the Hekla Slope quartz design, the Naismith bar also displays a mitered edge profile complete with waterfall edges. With tons of flexible seating, a clean design, and durable quartz countertops, the Naismith room is the perfect spot to gather, plan, or recharge.

Nearby, a secondary bar offers a scaled-down version of the main feature—perfect for serving thirsty basketball fans. Also topped with Hekla Slope quartz, it mirrors the primary bar’s mitered edges and subtle waterfall detail, complementing the space’s clean, industrial feel.

The Crimson Club Suite definitely lives up to its name. With bold red walls, cool lighting, and a cozy layout, it’s one of the most eye-catching spots in the Fieldhouse. Every detail, from the seating to the Wilsonart quartz, really helps pull the space together.

Entering the main Donor Club area, the grand design balances function with a clean, modern look. Quartz countertops in Hekla Slope with a mitered edge profile offer a durable workspace that fits right in with the aesthetic of the fieldhouse. Drink rails in Miami Vena quartz are sprinkled throughout the space to provide a place to gather and watch the game on the big screen.

Towards the entrance of the fieldhouse, one will find a serene mezzanine that overlooks the bustling crowd of KU basketball fans below. Quartz countertops in Hekla Slope line the perimeter to create the perfect spot for a pregame snack or to recharge post-victory!

That’s a wrap on the behind-the-scenes upgrades at Allen Fieldhouse! With bold finishes and clean, functional surfaces, every renovated space is ready to host Kansas University basketball fans, athletes, and more. CKF was proud to bring its commercial remodeling expertise to the table—delivering durable quartz surfaces built to perform in high-traffic, high-energy environments. We’re honored to play a role in transforming such a celebrated space, and even more excited to see it all in action!
