When it comes to restaurants and bars, it’s obvious that the quality of food and service you receive are important, but we’d argue that the atmosphere is also an important component of a successful establishment. While many of us have spent more time at home over the past year, it’s become abundantly clear that while you can enjoy a good craft beer at home, it’s not quite the same as experiencing it fresh from the tap at your favorite local bar. Site-1 Brewing, an Omaha brewery and today’s featured project, is a great example of how design can elevate the overall dining experience.
Recently renovated with gorgeous quartz countertops featuring dramatic veining, this brewery is given an upscale feel that is balanced with rustic wood details. Cambria Annicca quartz was chosen to run the length of the bar, as well as the hostess stand at the entrance. This bold design is the perfect pairing for the art deco inspired lighting and overall trendy vibe. In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, quartz is also a very sanitary surface for commercial spaces because it’s non-porous, making it easier to clean and sanitize. Safety is top-of-mind for consumers everywhere, so using a material such as quartz for high-traffic areas is beneficial for preventing the spread of germs and bacteria.
Below the guardrail, white corian was used to finish off the bar adding another unique detail. Enhanced by lighting both below the bar and guardrail, this design literally glows.
Overall, we love the eclectic mix of old and new this brewery combines to create a welcoming place to sample a variety of locally crafted beers. From the retro-inspired lighting, rustic wood details and glimmering quartz countertops, this renovation easily gets a 5-star review from us.
