A Contemporary Home Tour

This new construction home sits on the water’s edge in Valley, Nebraska, and offers design elements that are simply stunning! Constructed by Tackett Company and designed by CKF Designers Tricia and Janel, this home features CKF cabinetry and countertops throughout to create a contemporary home with a touch of classic farmhouse flair. Let’s start the tour off with the main hub of the house, the kitchen!

This kitchen is the perfect mix of modern and farmhouse and sports CKF 360 Classic cabinetry throughout. The perimeter cabinets are finished in Oyster paint and the island is finished in a Pecan stain, creating an excellent contrast. The cabinets are topped with Private Studio Collection quartz countertops in the color Ethereal Glow, which contains light veins of gold and grey.

The layout of this kitchen is a true work of art and unlike anything we’ve seen before. To maximize space and allow for an easy flow of kitchen traffic, the massive pantry stretches around the main cooking area, making a semi-circle around the kitchen. This not only creates more space but also helps to keep the space clear of small appliances and clutter. The cabinets throughout the pantry and kitchen include custom storage options for easy organization, such as a Lazy Susan, pull-out drawers, a built-in paper towel holder, and much more.

The kitchen also includes a coffee nook area, finished in Oyster paint, as well as a home bar! The home bar is finished in Pecan to match the kitchen island and is equipped with a wine rack, beverage cooler, and even more storage.

Off to the side of the kitchen sits the large laundry room, which features CKF 360 Classic cabinetry in Oyster paint and a Private Studio Collection quartz countertop in Helix. This room proves that laundry rooms don’t have to be shoved in the basement or dark corner of the hallway, but instead can and should be a bright and functional room in the house. This way, laundry is an enjoyable task rather than a chore!

On the opposite side of the home sits the primary bedroom with its grand ensuite bathroom. The primary bathroom vanity is built with CKF 360 Classic cabinetry and utilizes the Pecan finish to keep the design consistent throughout the home. A Private Studio Collection quartz countertop in Desert Silver completes the vanity design and gives this bathroom a serene look.

The second floor hosts a multitude of bedrooms, all with bathrooms that closely resemble the laundry room. Each vanity is constructed with CKF 360 Classic cabinetry in Oyster paint and is topped with a Private Studio Collection quartz countertop in Helix. These vanities are simple yet beautiful and functional, which is why they’re perfect for the guest bedroom or children’s rooms!

Also on the second floor is another home bar, complete with a beverage cooler, sink, and floating shelves. The upper cabinets are finished in Oyster, while the lower cabinets are finished in, you guessed it, Pecan! This is a great area to store extra snacks and drinks, especially when you don’t want to make the trip downstairs for a late-night snack!

And that’s the end of our home tour! This home is truly magnificent, from the kitchen layout to the bright laundry room and primary bath. The consistent use of the Oyster and Pecan cabinet colors allows the home to flow nicely and feel unified. We’re obsessed with how this home turned out and are proud to be a part of it!
