A Mid-Century Modern Escape

This home, designed by CKF Designers Tricia and Janel and constructed by Tackett Company, is the definition of a dream home, with mid-century modern elegance and thoughtful, curated design that will have you thinking about this home for days. From the beautiful kitchen to the breathtaking primary bath, this home was made to impress. So, let’s start the tour!

The massive kitchen is a host’s dream and features plenty of elements that will have guests in awe all night long. For starters, the kitchen island’s unique design is something you certainly don’t see every day! The U-shaped island creates more usable counter space, along with more cabinet space and seating. The walnut cabinets are Sorrento brand and finished in a Natural stain for the perfect mid-century look. All the cabinets are topped with Dekton countertops in the color Rem for a modern touch and elegant durability.

There are also lots of details in this kitchen that deserve to be recognized! We love the frosted glass paneling on the upper cabinets, the windows that act as a backsplash, and the simple, modern hardware throughout.

Next to the kitchen sits the matching home bar, a great addition for entertainers! This bar features the same cabinetry and countertops as the kitchen and modern open shelving to display favorite wine glasses, whiskey bottles, and more.

On the other side of the home is the primary bathroom, which definitely doesn’t disappoint! Two identical vanities mirror each other on opposite sides of the expansive bath, with a beautiful soaker tub nestled between them. The vanities are constructed with walnut Sorrento cabinetry in a Natural stain, allowing for the entire home design to be seamless. The Dekton countertops in the color Rem bring a calming essence to the bath, as well as unmatched strength and durability.

The basement is the true entertaining space of the home and includes another home bar, this one slightly more elaborate than the bar upstairs. The basement bar is made with none other than Sorrento cabinetry (in a Natural stain, of course) and is topped with Silestone quartz in the color Ethereal Glow. The waterfall edge of the countertop gives the bar a sleek look and adds interest into the design. The back of the bar features lots of shelving to display bottles and glasses, as well as glass-paneled cabinets and plenty of storage space.

Wow, what a home! This home is definitely something out of a dream, and we are obsessed with how it turned out! The Sorrento cabinetry used throughout the home creates an impeccable mid-century modern feel, and the countertops help to ‘top’ it all off. What is your favorite room in the home?
